Step 4 - Physical Verification and Release of Sugar Consignments
The final step in the import/export clearance process is the Physical Verification and Clearance of Sugar Consignments. This step involves the manual inspection and verification of sugar consignments at the port of entry to ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards before the goods are released.
Requirements for Service:

- The Bill of Lading (BOL) is a key document for customs clearance that provides details about the shipment. It must be available during the inspection to verify the transportation details and ensure the goods have been shipped according to the agreed terms.
-
Certificate of Conformity / UNBS Permit / KEBS Diamond Mark of Quality:
- This certificate verifies that the imported goods meet the required standards and quality specifications. It is essential for ensuring the sugar complies with health and safety regulations.
